A Coiled Spring

The cold prolonged Winter had, until the middle of this month, stopped the energy of Spring's coil from being released. But now with the rise in temperature (17deg C. yesterday) I have many types of crocus in flower, tips of Snakeshead Fritillariies (hopefully), and Round Headed House Leeks (hopefully) poking above the soil. Earlier this week I saw 2 Robins disappear into an evergreen shrub in my garden and they did not seem to be in a hurry to come out again. I have also seen Collared Doves "kissing" and yesterday a large Clouded Yellow butterfly hovered to and fro across my line of sight; although I fear it may have been a little premature in finding a food source so early in the season. On my way out in the afternoon of yesterday I noticed 3 Ladybirds crowded together in a space no bigger than a 5p coin. The spring of Spring begins to uncoil!
