HAWTHORNE BERRIES

These hawthorn berries, photographed on a shrubby green space a minute or so from where I live, had been recently rinsed with a recent shower of rain and made a very attractive cascading-type composition. Hawthorn produces very sweet smelling white flowers in the early spring, and they are a taster of brighter things to come after a dull winter such as the one we are heading into now.
